The Ukiah Educational Foundation was formed in 1992 with a bequest of $250,000. That contribution was used to establish an endowment fund, which has allowed the Foundation to distribute more than $1,000,000 through other bequeaths and donations since its inception. The Foundations goal is simple- to provide expanded educational opportunities to the young people in our community. The Ukiah Unified School District, like all California districts, has seen major cuts in funding. Our community must take steps on a local basis to improve our schools. Why? Because every resident - whether a parent of school-aged children or not - suffers when our schools are in decline.
